About the trainer
Meet Emily
Hi! I’m Emily
After 22 years in the NHS I decided to change from fixing humans to helping humans with their dogs.
I have never not owned a dog and loved them all for their individual quirks and right amount of crazy! – After taking my own dog to various trainers who used more traditional methods I decided that way of working wasn't a good fit for me or my dogs and retrained them using modern reward based training methods- What a difference in our relationship! Happy dog! So I started to study with The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers.
I've always been dog crazy and have a special interest in high drive / working breeds after owning her own bunch of crazies (Setters, Retrievers, Labs, Spaniels and collies). My friendly, down to earth, honest, non-judgemental and patient approach helps build a strong bond between the dog and the owner, making the training process enjoyable and effective.

Training both ends of the lead
Dog training isn’t just about teaching your dog—it’s about building a better relationship between you and your dog. That’s why I focus on training both ends of the lead.
Modern dog training is based on understanding your dog’s needs, using positive reinforcement, and helping you communicate clearly with your dog. This approach doesn’t just teach your dog behaviours; it also helps you feel confident and in control while ensuring your dog feels safe and understood.
By working together, we can address behaviours like pulling on the lead, recall challenges, or jumping up, all while strengthening the bond between you and your dog. My methods are designed to be kind, effective, and tailored to your unique needs.
